Dark, mysterious, and hauntingly beautiful – forests have long been an essential part of our fantasy world. If you’re spell blinded by the mystical world of goblins, witches and talking animals then read on to find the most magical forest walk-throughs in the world.

1. Crooked Forest, Poland

Located just outside West Pomerania, Poland – this strange forest is home to 400 crooked trees. It’s pure magic to see all gigantic pine trees bent in the same direction: north. So far, there is no explanation for the odd shape of the trees.

2. Black Forest, Germany

A dark and mysterious growth of dense conifer trees block most of the sunlight in South West Germany making the forest appear so dark that Romans referred to it as Schwarzwald or “Black Forest". From ghosts stories to walking deads, the forest had had its fair share of foreboding tales.
