Your little-planned luncheon might be a nice surprise for mommy dearest, but it’s a far cry from this globetrotting mother-daughter duo.

Evie Farrell, 43, from Sydney and her 6-year-old daughter, Emmie set off on the adventure-of-a-lifetime last February and so far, they have no plans to go back home. The duo started their journey after Evie lost a dear friend and decided to go backpacking with AUD $30,000 in her account.

The young mum thinks travelling is easier than it looks like. She said that not only it’s cheaper than living in Sydney, but it's also rewarding. 'There's more to life than sitting at a desk every day to earn money to buy stuff. We've travelled for a whole year with one backpack... and there's no way I'm going back to my old way of life now,' Evie told The Daily Mail and we couldn’t agree more!

So far, the two have travelled to Taiwan, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, London, Paris - and China, where they spent the Christmas. Check out some of their amazing travel shots that Evie shares on her popular Instagram account @mumpacktravel.
