If you are planning a family summer vacation in Thailand, we have awesome news for you.

This summer, the InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort is inviting little explorers to learn more about the culture of Thailand and the island of Koh Samui. Inspired by InterContinental Samui’s sense of place philosophy - which embraces the culture, customs and history of the surrounding area – the hotel’s Planet Trekkers Club is offering a range of new Thai-inspired activities for kids.

Available for children aged 4-12 years, the new activities include Thai language lessons, the traditional craft of umbrella painting, Thai Boxing - the national sport of Thailand - and for budding artists there is the opportunity to create beautiful batik paintings.

Recognising the importance of family holidays, the beautiful 22-acre resort is dedicated to ensuring that parents and children get as much enjoyment as possible out of their holiday. There is plenty of family accommodation with the two-bedroom residence villas that offer space, privacy and huge outdoor spaces with stunning views over the Gulf of Thailand.

The Club Two-Bedroom Residence Villas also have their own kitchen, butler service, private swimming pool and a host of amenities – including toys and little bathrobes and slippers – to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Around the hotel are seven swimming pools including a dedicated kids pool and there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed too; from mountain biking to snorkelling, tennis and ocean kayaking. Plus, InterContinental Samui is also home to the award-winning Baan Thai Spa by HARRN, for when parents want to enjoy an authentic Thai spa experience and a bit of time out.

Along with the new activities now available, Planet Trekkers Club offers arts and crafts, mocktail making, junior MasterChef cookery classes, green-fingered gardening projects, fishing, beach games, monster slime experiments, swimming lessons and much more.

Healthy yet fun food by celebrity chef Theo Randall and child food expert, Annabel Karmel is also on the menu. Designed to take young explorers on an exciting journey of food discovery, the Planet Trekkers menu embraces flavours, textures, smells and tastes with dishes to suit all palettes – even the fussy ones!
