Italy Is Literally Giving 100 Castles Away For FREE

No, we are not kidding.

In an attempt to boost tourism in areas that are not Rome, Milan, Tuscany, Lake Como, Venice and the Amalfi Coast, the State Property Agency and Ministry of Cultural Heritage of Italy are giving away 103 castles across the country to prevent them from becoming crumbling landmarks.

Those who receive the property will have to transform the buildings into sources of economic growth i.e. hotels, restaurants, shops, spas or luxury villas. This is perhaps the reason that young entrepreneurs are being targeted for the job.
