“Scrubbing tiles is SO MUCH fun..I love it!”, said no one ever. But hey, not everything in life is fun. Few tasks need to be done regardless of the fun factor. But does that mean you need to spend an entire off-day on sweeping and scrubbing? Not really.
There are always hacks and tricks to get things done faster, to keep things cleaner for longer and well, to generally spend LESS time fussing about tiny frustrating things when the same can be done in half the time.
In case it’s your turn to scrub the floors this weekend, we suggest you take a quick look at some tried, tested and approved tips to give you more Netflix time.
1. Iron your damp clothes.
No need to spend hours waiting to let your clothes air-dry. If you don't have a spray feature in your iron then simply press your wrinkly pieces straight out of the dryer.
2. Trust your dishwasher with more than just dishes.
Your dishwasher is more capable than you think. Throw in plastic toys, dish racks, plastic hair brushes and toothbrushes to save some hours of your life.
4. Two doormats will save you from a LOT of shoe-dirt.
Place one outside and one inside your door to ensure no shoe-dirt get past these guards.

5. Baking soda is your cleaning BFF.
Even the best of your friends will ditch you on cleaning day, but NOT baking soda. This cooking ingredient can LITERALLY clean anything you want— including your teeth, no kidding.
6. A file folder belongs in your fridge too.
Use a file sorter to store cutting boards inside your kitchen cabinet - pure genius!

7. A lint roller is all you need to keep things dust-free.
You can dust out ANYTHING you want, even your clothes.
8. Use magnets to avoid clutter.
Always looking for things that are right in front of you? Same here! Place them at eye level by attaching magnets to the bottom of plastic containers for easy visibility.

9. Spray… then let that spray set.
By letting the spray soak in and work its magic, it should be easier to clean ANY surface.
10. Eye shadows instead of ice cubes?
Why couldn't we think of this one before! It makes perfect sense to put eye shadows in a large ice cube tray. No shuffling. No rummaging. Just a neat array of colours waiting to be applied.
