After the royal engagement news last week, Meghan Markle is already fulfilling royal duties, as she visited the Terrace Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair in Nottingham, with fiancé Prince Harry, during the couple’s first official royal engagement.
But, it was her wardrobe which stole the spotlight as Meghan Markle’s Strathberry bag instantly sold out within 11 minutes of her public appearance in Nottingham, proving that she is rapidly becoming a royal fashion favorite. Paired with a tailored navy coat, a khaki pleated skirt by British label Jospeh and Kurt Geiger mid-calf boots, Meghan Markle stylishly braved the British cold weather in an outfit which mirrored future sister-in-law Kate Middleton or former first lady Michelle Obama’s style.
Meghan Markle’s burgundy tote bag by independent Scottish label Strathberry could previously be purchased in Harvey Nichols and Bloomingdale's, however it takes 20 hours to make one bag so it will be a while until the popular handbag will be back in stock.
This isn’t the first time Meghan Markle’s outfit has sold out after her white coat from her engagement photographs with Prince Harry, also sold out in minutes. Designed by Canadian brand LINE, Meghan Markle’s white coat was believed to be picked by Meghan as she wanted to support the Canadian designers after living in Canada during the filming of Suits.
With the royal wedding confirmed to take place in May, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, all eyes are now on Meghan Markle’s style in the countdown to the reveal of her royal wedding dress for spring 2018. Evidently Meghan Markle is following in Kate Middleton’s popular footprints, as her fashion style impresses the public who can’t wait to copy the future princess.
Meghan Markle is definitely joining our list of royal style icons we love.
