This is the event to create, consume and share content!

With the world’s largest youth population, the MENA region has witnessed a huge growth in the creation and consumption of online content, as video and social networks are increasingly playing a more crucial role than any other media platforms.

This has led to the first ever VIDXB event, produced by Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC). The event will take place over the 8th and 9th December at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will be the region’s first ever celebration of content creators and online video.

Curated to grow and elevate the digital community in the region, the event will host executives and speakers from global media powerhouses Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Vice and Buzzfeed. As well as regional and international creators and online stars, such as youtuber Casey Neistat, singer Conor Maynard and lifestyle leader Noor Stars.

VIDXB is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect and engage the new generation of loyal and digitally savvy consumers and fans. It will act as a platform for both established and aspiring innovate storytellers, content creators, media influencers, fan communities and industry professionals. It will give a voice to locally relevant content, enhance brand awareness and develop the digital community further.

Expected to entertain 10,000 plus visitors, the event will cover topics like fashion, lifestyle, beauty and travel, as there will be a varied programme of workshops and training sessions, keynotes and speakers, experiential activations and knowledge sharing activities.

This will further develop Dubai’s creative industry as Jamal Al Sharif, Chairman of the Dubai Film and TV Commission explains: “The way people interact with and consume media has changed significantly…and our 2020 Vision is focused on ensuring Dubai adapts to this rapid change and embraces this age of digital content production.”

VIDXB will be the first event in the Middle East and North Africa region to bring the entire content creator community together in one place including industry experts, content creators and fans.
