The internet collectively went into a "how dare you say that!" mode when a sports writer, who has now been suspended, posted the following article.

Yes, this writer had the audacity to fat-shame Rihanna.

And while the internet was really angry, RiRi herself did not respond directly to the post. But in true Rihanna style, she posted the following meme (featuring rapper Gucci Mane) to her Instagram.

It is obvious that the photo was taken from an unflattering angle, as Rihanna was pictured only a few days ago looking svelte as ever at the Cannes Film Festival.
